Question by answers: Why would the car dealer push you to lease than buy?
I was at the Cadillac dealership yesterday looking at new cars. The dealer pushed hard to get me to lease than buy a new car. His reason: cars are depreciating commodities and there is no point investing so much money into it. I would think they would be more interested in selling cars. Any insights what is their hidden advantage in leasing cars over selling?

Best answer:

Answer by fire4511
The dealer usually makes more money with a lease deal than a purchase! Therefore they push the lease! They sell the car to you or to the finance company, so there is still a “sale”.

Question by stumpt3a: Will new car dealers buy your car when it’s nor part of a tradein?
Will new car dealers buy your old car outright, without you trading it in on a new car? I don’t want to buy another car, I am just looking for a quick way to sell a car I no longer need. I know I will get less from the dealer than from a private party sale.

Question by newdad71: How can I attend dealer car auctions in Massachusetts?
I know you have to be a car dealer to attend, my question is how do I become a car dealer?

Best answer:

Answer by dale b
It’s getting tougher to get your dealer’s license. I’m licensed in Fl., and you have to have an “approved retail site,” attend a few classes, pass a test, post a sizeable bond, and hang out a shingle. Unless you’re seriously committed to it, it isn’t worth it. It can be a very rewarding profession, and I really have enjoyed it. It certainly helps to be well capitalized, especially when starting out. You’ll find that money just seems to vanish for the first five years. The best recipe for success is L.U.C.K! That stands for Laboring Under Correct Knowledge! It also helps if you like people as much as cars! Good luck to you.

Question by wondering: What are the chances of a car dealership financing a loan for me?
i’m really new to this, ive only asked a couple friends and gotten a little bit of information. so in june im moving to a new state, and i want to get a car – right now i dont have the money to flat out buy one its not an option. i have a job lined up for me, and i have a credit card thats always been paid off, but thats about the extent. im only 20 years old. would a dealership be willing to work with me so i could make payments on a car? im not looking for expensive – 5-8k is fine with me. also, a bank wouldnt give me a loan, i dont have collateral, and my mom cant co sign, she doesnt have the best credit. so basically im 20, i’ll have a job, but i dont have money for a down payment or to flat out buy a car – will a dealership be likely to work with me on this?

Question by mm: When do the car dealers reduce their prices due to cars being a year older?
I’m looking at buying a used car that costs too much, in my opinion. Since the 2009′s are coming, i was wondering if that’s when car dealers reduce the price of their used cars. If not then, what does it happen?

Question by decentg: car dealership?
My gf recently bought a new Honda CRV 2008. When she purchased it she didnt noticed there was a scratch or something like that on the passenger side door handle. So she had to take it back to the Honda dealership to fix it. they gave her a rental car for a day so that they can fix her car. But they charged her 28$ for the rental car for gas and some other service fee. Are they supposed to do that cuz she bought a brand new car and they give her a scratched one and then chraged her for rental car. Is that fair bussiness? Should she be asking them for a reimbursement? what you guys think?

Best answer:

Answer by alvarz

are car dealerships responsible to inform buyers about a used vehicles history before selling?
i recently bought a 2004 grand-am at a new/used car dealership. the steering seemed to have too much play in it. my son went onto a web site and found the used car i purchased was in an accident two years ago. is it the dealerships responsibility to inform potential buyers of used cars about any accident history of the vehicle?

A car salesman could cheat his mother and not bother him. If a salesman new there was a good chance of you getting killed in the car you just bought but telling you would cost him a sale. He still would let you drive off the lot.People who acquire autos from registered sellers can also be protected with the govt by means of a number of client safety and business enterprise acts. You can find plenty of household members and good friends within your circle who may possibly know a fine vehicle dealership.
