Question by judy06: Can i break the purchase contract with the car dealership?
I signed the purchase contract with the car dealership today. I went home and check the price with all other local dealership, the price was way too expensive. Can i break the contract ?

The payment agreement is not yet established, so i have no clues how the interest rate and everything will go.
They rush me to do all the paper work and drive the car off the lot. They want me to bring in a check for them tomorrow.

if its a new car you may be out of luck. try renegotiating with them. customer satisfaction is important.

You need to contact the District representative for whatever brand your car is. Try going online and finding a Customer Service number. When you finally get a human to talk to tell him the problems you are having. Be sure to have ALL of the previous repair order receipts when you call. He/she will ask you some questions to get the ball rolling on your complaint.

actually there are not much legal documents needed, just your MyKad. The best way is to ask your parents, relative or friends who has a cheque. Yes, of course you can pay by cash and ask for a receipt, but using cheque issued to the second hand car dealer is another safety. The second hand car dealer can do insurance and go to JPJ to transfer the ownership to your name. Just ask your parents anybody you know who is also firmilair with car to do a check on that car. If i were you I’ll drive the car to a mechanic that you know to inspect the car and ask them to estimate the value of the car too.

Check your local yellow pages for detail shops also check with body shops as some of them also offer detailing. Depending on how bad the condition don’t expect a miracle. Good luck
