I don’t like the idea of going to a car dealer to synch the door key to do keyless entry.

.If there is no info in the owners manual then you’ll probably have to go to them. This is to help prevent auto theft.

Question by sunshine: Can I find out how much a car dealer payed for a specific used car?
I know this car was sold at an auction as a reposession.(According to carfax) I would really like to know how much it went for so I can know how much profit the dealer wants to make.

There is no public reporting of prices at auctions. The only people who know the answer to that question are:

- the auction
- the buyer
- anybody who was at the auction and remembers that particular sale which is unlikely as auctions move anywhere from a few hundred to a few thousand cars a day.

The auctions do report the price to several pricing guide companies – but they are contractually bound to only use the data in bulk so as they can report, for example, the average price on 1999 Honda Accords.

Any offer below KBB will be considered. Cash does not get you a better deal. Tough negotiating gets you a better deal.
