I just got a letter from my car dealer ship, i pay monthly for my car and it’s saying i need to make an appointment to get regular maintenance done, but there is a lot of damage to it right now.. will they take my car away if i bring it in?

Question by BMWTech: Why do so many people think that all automotive technicians and car dealers are trying to take your money?
I have been in the field at several different shops- independent, Ford, and now BMW. A lot of the post on here are people bashing on car dealers and technicians saying they are trying to take your money. We have to make a living too along with that we are not all shady.. yes i will agree there are some but not near as many as you might thing. Why do people always blame us when something goes wrong on their car after we worked on it even if it is completely unrelated?

I often wonder how a used car dealer values a car on his lot. Does he just pull a price out of the air and hope someone pays him that or is there a precise algorithm he uses?

I live in El Paso and she should buy the daily newspaper and look in there. There are lots of used car dealers, but I would go to a dealership if I were her. I think she could also log on to Autotrader.com and type in the zip code and it will show cars in that area.
I just got a new car a few months ago from the Hyundai dealership on Montana Avenue and it was a good experience for me.

The probem with credit is only for those people with sub-prime credit scores (below about 680-700). People with good credit are not having trouble getting loans. Unfortunately, a large percentage of people who got loans before the credit crunch had credit issues and probably should not have been buying the cars they were buying. Car manufacturers were so eager for the business that they were approving almost anyone. Now they are suffering because a large number of those people are now defaulting on their loans.
