your going to by a ford???? cool, I would get the v8 though its a lot better motor, and the fuel mileage is about the same, as far as buying a new car cash. generally speaking, on a 50,000 dollar truck, you can get 5 grand off msrp sticker price. so for a 28,000 and change figure roughly 5 percent. roughly about 25 grand. You can also do research online there are websites where big dealers have signed up and you can email like 50 car dealers all at once, with your cash price offer (and if you are not in a hurry, wait until the last few days of this month, after doing a pile of research and make a dealer a lower offer (after careful non hurried research on your part) if you are not super picky about color (white cars, are cheaper than any other color) you may get one bad boy of a deal playing the game. although the car maybe in another state, but significant savings you could fly out pick it up verify it is what you want, and drive it home. If you buy it, and plan to have it shipped this bumps the price, you can get a better deal online for a transport service, the dealer will pay some kid a hundred bucks to beat the pee out of your new car, BECAUSE THE SOONER YOU GET YOUR CAR, AND HE GETS HOME, THE SOONER HE GETS PAID, that’s no incentive to baby your new car. so specify transport delivery. me I like the mini vacation, drive my deal home.either way if you buy off a lot in the town where you are, do some research, another dealer nearby may beat the offer of 25,123, or whatever you give as your final offer, play the game, have fun enjoy!!!

Question by John B: Do car dealers offer group discounts for buying multiple cars?
Three of my buddies and I want to buy New Audi A4s when we return from deployment in Afghanistan. Will Audi dealers significantly lower the MSRP if four of us commit (and are well qualified) to buying one. Currently, we are looking at a ,000 car and are looking to pay ,000. Cars can’t be selling too well these days, so wouldn’t they be crazy not to? Would it be unethical or stupid to ask several dealers and indirectly have them compete?

They won’t lower the MSRP; that stands for Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price. The dealer can charge whatever they want for it; higher or lower than the MSRP. The dealer will probably offer a discount if four cars will be sold.
Dealers already compete. It is not like you can only shop at the dealer closest to you. The dealer that has the best price wins.
