Question by shawty: My car needs to go to the dealer for regular maintenance but it has damage?
I just got a letter from my car dealer ship, i pay monthly for my car and it’s saying i need to make an appointment to get regular maintenance done, but there is a lot of damage to it right now.. will they take my car away if i bring it in?
Sorry- im making payments monthly .. no lease .. its financing

no lol they will do the maintainence as long as it is running, the only way they take it away is if you dont pay.

Question by TBONE: Do car dealers replace gas when repairs are done?
When a car dealer does work on your fuel system and has to remove the gas in the tank, do they replace it? Specifically Chevy dealers.

They should return the gas removed from the tank after the repair is complete, unless it is contaminated. I seriously doubt that they would take your car to a gas station and replace any fuel that they used or spilled during a repair.

For instance do you think they sell alot of cars today? No
There goes down your profit.
Now a few years ago you could get 1,000 or more on new cars and a couple hundred on a used car. Not today, cause if they want to sell a car new they have to bring down the price (Profit margin). Get it?

IN all the other states I’d say “no” but Louisiana has some weird laws thanks to the Napoleonic code they use. Your best bet is to contact your local Legal Aid.

We bought a used car from a dealership 3 yrs ago and had to take it in for some things to be fixed(under warranty) but while it was there the mechanic called and said there were some recalled parts that weren’t fixed so he was ordering the parts.
By the way the recalls happened 1,2 and 3 yrs before we bought it. We bought it 3 yrs old. Should we have been told this when buying it?

No they don’t have to tell you . The salesman probably didn’t know. It up to the previous owner and the service dept. to keep up on maintenance etc.

I’m not trying to be sarcastic, but if you have to ask you’re nowhere near ready. The pros in the business would eat you up and spit you out. Once in awhile some green pea buys his way into the business. With no clue about how to buy he buys wrong. The pros smell his weakness and he gets led into failure. He goes to the auction and bids against the Coke machine. He is so naive that he falls victim to every shyster and buys any turd that shines. You want to be a dealer? Work for one. Then work with one. When you’re experienced at buying you will know what you need to get your own license. Remember; anybody can sell, but only an experienced professional buyer can buy with any success. With my experience I still get burnt occasionally as I bid at the sale. New tricks are developed daily. Now, go get a job at a used car operation.

Check your local yellow pages for detail shops also check with body shops as some of them also offer detailing. Depending on how bad the condition don’t expect a miracle. Good luck

I’m a few weeks away from opening my first used car business within Canada, however Manheim is an international used vehicle auction. I was wondering if it is also considered one of the cheapest auctions for purchasing vehicles. I have access to their website and I am overlooking the sale prices of the vehicles and the vehicles are more expensive than I originally anticipated.

they are all about the same on car prices.

Manheim, Adessa, Brashers, – about the same.

Problem is that quality used cars are hard to find right now. ANd dealers are stepping all over themselves to get whats out there to put on their lots. I attended a sale in Sacramenton on Tuesday. There were 209 cars, and over 600 bidders.

THAT is why the prices are higher than you anticipated. Look at Copart as well. They mainly do insurance cars, but there are also a lot of clear title, run and drive cars to be had there.
